Privacy Policy

We are committed to minimising data collection. Here is what we do and do not collect:

• Favourites Data: Songs you mark as favourites are stored locally on your device using SharedPreferences. This data never leaves your device.
• Reminder Preferences: Your in-app reminder settings (interval hours and minutes) are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to any server.
• Song Data: The app fetches a list of audio tracks and images from a remote JSON source hosted by the developer. This is a read-only fetch — no personal data is sent with this request.
• No Account Required: We do not ask you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal identification information.
• No Analytics: We do not use any third-party analytics, crash-reporting SDKs, or tracking libraries in the current version of the app.

All audio tracks and cover images are hosted on Cloudinary, a third-party cloud media platform. When the app streams audio or loads images, your device makes a standard HTTPS request to Cloudinary's servers.

Cloudinary may collect standard server-side logs (such as IP addresses and request timestamps) in accordance with their own privacy policy. We do not receive or store any personal information from these requests. You may review Cloudinary's privacy practices at cloudinary.com.

The app contains links to the following external platforms. When you tap these links, you will be taken outside the app and subject to that platform's own privacy policy:

• YouTube — youtube.com/@mr.informative
• Instagram — instagram.com/mrinformative
• Razorpay — used for optional donations (rzp.io). Razorpay independently handles any payment data.
• Google Forms — used for partnership enquiries. Data you submit is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• Developer's Website — product listing page hosted by the developer.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external services and encourage you to review their respective policies.

The app includes an optional in-app reminder feature. When enabled, a periodic timer fires a SnackBar notification within the app while it is open and in the foreground.

This feature does not use Android's system notification service. No push notifications are sent to your device, and no notification permission is requested. Reminder preferences are stored only on your device and are never transmitted.

All data generated by your use of the app (favourites list, reminder settings) is stored exclusively on your local device via the operating system's secure SharedPreferences storage. We do not operate any servers that store personal user data.

You can clear all locally stored app data at any time through your device's Settings → Apps → Binaural Beats → Clear Data option.

Binaural Beats MindHz is intended for a general audience. The app does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13.

Because the app does not collect any personal data from any user, it presents no special risk to children. If you believe your child has provided any personal information through an external link within the app, please contact that platform directly.

The app may request the following Android permissions:

• INTERNET — Required to stream audio tracks and load cover images from remote servers.
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE / WAKE_LOCK — May be requested by the audio player library to maintain audio playback when the screen is off. No personal data is accessed through this permission.

No other sensitive permissions (camera, microphone, contacts, location, storage) are requested or used.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app's features or applicable law. When we do, the Effective Date at the top of this page will be updated accordingly.

We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. Material changes will be communicated through an update notice in the app or on the Play Store listing.
